Shots fired in broad daylight, search for persons of interest

D.C. police are looking for three persons of interest captured on surveillance video apparently firing shots with a person standing nearby.

It happened Wednesday afternoon in the 3400 block of Hayes Street, Northeast.

The video released by the MPD shows three armed persons of interest getting out of a car, pulling out weapons and firing them. A passerby, just steps away, ducked behind a vehicle.

As soon as the gunfire stopped, the passerby casually walked away, and the persons of interest drove off.
