Station manager stabbed at Metro station in DC

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro officials say a woman stabbed a station manager at the Stadium-Armory subway station in Washington.

Metro spokesman Dan Stessel says an unidentified female subway rider stabbed the manager shortly before noon on Sunday. The assailant fled after the stabbing. Stessel says the manager was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Metro Transit police are searching for the woman.

The south entrance to the Stadium-Armory station was closed temporarily during the investigation but has since reopened.
