Sanitation worker jailed for starting route too early

A sanitation worker in Georgia was jailed for starting his garbage collection route too early.

According to an online article on WSBTV.com, Kevin McGill began his route shortly after 5 a.m. A city ordinance, for the city of Sandy Springs, says that sanitation workers cannot begin work before 7 a.m.

McGill told WSBTV.com that, after going to court, the judge sentenced him to 30 days in jail. His sentence will be served on the weekends.
