Snow emergency no longer in effect in DC

A snow emergency has been lifted in the District. The order went into effect Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. and expired at 2 p.m.

At a news conference earlier, city officials said they ticketed and towed 132 cars due to the snow emergency.

Regular parking rules are now in effect and taxi fares have returned to normal.
