Rock star donates saxophone to student

Jerry Depizzo from the Maryland based band O.A.R. surprised a high school student with a free saxophone on Friday.

Sicquan Gipson, a student at Fort Hayes High School in Ohio. met Jerry Depizzo at a charity event in December. Sicquan told Jerry he loved to play the saxophone, but he did not own one. Jerry didn't either when he was younger, his mom bought him a sax with money from his late great grandmother. Jerry wanted to pass along the good deed that somebody did for him. So, Jerry, his band, and a few other people came up with the money for the instrument, worth thousands of dollars.

Sicquan says the saxophone will last for years. He wants to go to Ohio State and become a music teacher.
