3 juveniles shot in northeast DC

D.C. police say three minor juveniles were shot on Tuesday afternoon in northeast D.C., and they suffered minor injuries as a result.

The shootings happened in the 2000 block of I Street NE around 3:15 p.m. FOX 5's Marina Marraco reported there may have been a shootout between people in two cars. Three cars were actually crashed near the scene-- one of which, a van, hit the side of an apartment building and knocked out power to several units.

FOX 5 received several calls about gunfire being heard in the area, with at least a couple of dozen gunshots reportedly being fired. One witness, a man who lives in the building that was hit by the van, told FOX 5 he heard about 20 gunshots fired. The van landed just outside his front window.
