Hey DC: The Pope is coming!

There are about 600,000 Catholics in the Archdiocese of Washington. It seemed like quite a few of them were calling the offices at the National Shrine in Northeast Washington on Tuesday.

On Monday, Pope Francis told reporters his visit to the United States this September will include a stop in Washington, D.C. He's likely to visit the White House and address Congress.

There's been no official announcement from the Vatican, so the Archdiocese isn't talking about it yet. That means there is no information about events, tickets, etc.

The Pope told reporters he will now stop in Washington and New York, in addition to an already planned trip to Philadelphia.
