Delays felt in DC airports following luggage back-up glitch in Phoenix

- A computer glitch caused a massive luggage back-up at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix. The glitch prevented Transportation Security Administration agents from screening bags.

As a result, all of the luggage had to be screened by hand and then transferred to other airports. This led to more than 3000 bags not being assigned to their flights.

As passengers struggled on the ground and in the skies on Thursday, a House Senate Committee met to question the practices of the Transportation Security Administration.

Delays stemming from the Phoenix glitch caused back-ups at D.C.’s Reagan National Airport where delays are being felt.
