14-year-old girl killed after tree falls on car during storm

LUTHERVILLE, Md. - A 14-year-old girl is dead after severe storms brought down a tree that crushed a car she was riding in.

The accident happened in the Lutherville area of Baltimore County Thursday night as heavy rains and winds moved through.

Two other teens in the vehicle were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver, who has been identified as the deceased girl's mother, is also recovering from injuries.

Heavy storms moved through the Baltimore and D.C. areas Thursday night causing flooding and power outages.
