Maryland soldier killed in Afghanistan laid to rest

A soldier from Maryland who was killed in Afghanistan will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery Monday.

In November, 48-year-old Sergeant Major Wardell Turner was training Afghan security forces in Kabul, when his vehicle was attacked with an IED.

According to the Army Times, Turner was the top enlisted soldier on his team.

He leaves behind a wife and five children.
