3 men force way into drive-thru window during McDonald's robbery

- D.C. police are searching for three armed men who robbed a fast food restaurant by forcing their way inside through the drive-thru window.

The robbery happened last Saturday at around 3:15 a.m. at a McDonald's restaurant on I Street in Southeast D.C. The crime was all caught on video as the group climbed through the window seconds after the cashier opened it.

The suspects were wearing winter coats and two of the suspects appeared to have guns as they took the cashier by surprise. After getting inside, they immediately forced a manager to open the cash register and hand over the money, even lifting the drawer to grab larger bills underneath.

Cameras inside the McDonald’s captured the robbery from several different angles. It appears there were no customers at the time.

Despite this weekend's scare, the restaurant’s manager said their employees are safe. FOX 5 has reached out to McDonald’s about this incident and what changes, if any, will be made to security. However, we have not received a response at this time.

Police ask anyone who has information regarding this case to call at 202-727-9099. DC Crime Solvers is offering up to a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment for the people responsible.
