Higher pay, union rights behind strike at Reagan National Airport

- Some service workers, cleaners, security officers, and baggage handlers went on strike Thursday at Reagan National Airport, demanding higher pay and union rights.

The strike was connected to other similar demonstrations at several other airports across the country,

In addition to union representation, the workers asked for their wages to be increased to $15 per hour.

The strike was planned for last Wednesday but was postponed after the Brussels attack.

Airport officials don't expect the strike to have a big impact on travelers.
