No DNA matches on knife found at O.J. Simpson estate says TMZ report

- TMZ reports that the knife found buried on O.J. Simpson’s Rockingham estate produced no DNA matches.

The report from Tuesday morning said that the soil had degraded any DNA making it impossible to produce results from the tests.

Earlier this month the Los Angeles Police Department reported that the knife had been found by a construction worker on the perimeter of the property in Brentwood while he was demolishing the house as early as 1998.

The report said that the worker gave the knife to and off-duty officer but that the officer never turning the weapon in.

The LAPD demanded the knife from the officer and ran the tests.

Simpson was found not guilty in the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ronald Goldman.

The murder weapon was never discovered.

He is currently serving a 33-year prison sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping in connection with the theft of sports memorabilia in 2007.

The O.J. Simpson story is back in the headlines after the FX channel aired the new series, "The People vs. O.J. Simpson."
