Alcohol, wet roads contribute to deadly accident in Fairfax County

- Two men were killed in a northern Virginia accident early Monday morning.

The single-vehicle crash happened in Fairfax County along Burke Commons Road near Roberts Common Lane in Burke at around 12:23 a.m.

The driver, Cristian Dominguez, and the front-seat passenger, Cristian Merino, were both killed after the silver Saturn vehicle they were traveling in lost control and struck a tree. Police said they were not wearing seat belts.

A third passenger who was wearing a seat belt in the back of the vehicle did not require medical attention, according to police.

Police said high speed, alcohol and the wet roads all contributed to the deadly wreck.
