95 dogs rescued from hoarding situation near Minneapolis

- Nearly 100 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation and are now being nursed back to health and will soon available for adoption.

The dogs, 95 in total, were rescued as part of an investigation into a couple spanning seven months and several cities.

The Humane Society started its investigation last August after they got a tip about the large number dogs living in poor conditions in the city of Stacy.

Before they could search the property, the dogs were moved to another location.

The couple was eventually located in Maplewood in October but took the dogs and fled again before any action could be taken.

They were finally located in February when 53 dogs were confiscated. Another 42 were taken on Wednesday after it was learned the couple had more animals than they surrendered.

Many of the dogs have already been adopted into new homes.

The remaining dogs are still receiving medical attention and behavior help to prepare them for adoption.
