Motorist says man on hoverboard opened fire after driver offered ride

- Police are searching for a man accused of shooting a driver then fleeing on a hoverboard.

The incident happened in Dallas early Thursday morning. Police responded to the call of a shooting and found the victim with a gunshot wound to his arm.

The motorist claimed he was driving around the area when he spotted someone on a hoverboard and offered them a ride.

After the driver came back a half hour later and offered another ride, the man on the hoverboard allegedly opened fire. "He just said you know why are you following me? I'm sorry I'm just driving around I don't mean to make it seem like I'm following you," the driver said.

That's when the shooting happened. "The bullet that struck me actually went through the trunk of my car and went through my backseat and then lodged in my arm which I had sitting on the arm rest in the middle of the car," the driver said.

The driver said the shooter glided away on his hoverboard before police arrived at the scene.

The investigation is still continuing.
