Several $1 million Powerball winning tickets sold in Maryland and Virginia

There were no jackpot winners from the DMV in Wednesday's historic $1.6 billion Powerball drawing. But several tickets worth $1 million were sold in our area.

In Maryland, three Powerball tickets were sold that are worth $1 million. Those tickets were sold at a Wawa on Urbana Pike in Frederick, an Amoco on Walker Mill Road in Capitol Heights and a 7-Eleven on Annapolis Road in Bladensburg.

Two Million dollar tickets were sold in Virginia in Virginia Beach and in Salem. At least one $1 million ticket was sold in West Virginia.

In the District, two tickets worth $50,000 each were sold.

The grand prize of $1.6 billion will be split three ways by winners who bought their tickets in Florida, Tennessee and a Los Angeles suburb.

There may still be other smaller-tier prizes out there -- so check your numbers: 4-8-19-27-34 and Powerball 10.
