The Mansion Murders, Episode 3: The Welder

- Over the past couple of months, we have reached out to several members of Daron Wint’s family, trying to find someone close to Daron who would share his story and tell us more about him. At first it seemed like we were out of luck, but that changed.

Samantha Wint, Daron’s sister, agreed to be interviewed.

Samantha told us that Daron was born in Guyana, on South America's North Atlantic coast. He moved to the U.S. in 2000 at the age of 20.

She said that their childhood was normal and fun. Daron was an athlete, playing soccer in middle school and high school. He learned to become a welder in high school.

Samantha also told us that Daron is not capable of murder. She wasn't alone. Two of Daron’s former attorneys and the U.S. Marshals Commander Robert Fernandez, who apprehended Wint, have their doubts too.

Daron Wint has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is awaiting his trial, which is set for September 2018. Is Wint a victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or a cold-blooded murderer? In Episode 3, We take a look at his history in these never before heard interviews.
