WASHINGTON - Last December, Washington Wizards star John Wall was very emotional after he learned of the death of 6-year old Miyah - a little girl he befriended who lost her fight with cancer.
This weekend, Wall will pay tribute to her life when the John Wall Family Foundation sponsors "Miyah's Troupe" at the 2015 Washington, DC Light The Night Walk.
FOX 5’s Wisdom Martin spoke with the NBA star who said he’s in it to win it when it comes to the fight against cancer.
"It’s just a great cause for people that are fighting cancer and people that have lost others due to cancer," he said about this weekend's walk.
"You could never tell she had it," he said about Miyah. “She came around with so much joy and she appreciated every moment of life. You wouldn’t have known she was leaving us."
Wall's team will be at Freedom Plaza in D.C. on Saturday, October 17th.
