WASHINGTON - The Hollywood husband and wife team of Tamela and David Mann are well known for their work in Tyler Perry comedies like 'Meet The Browns.'
The two are in D.C. for the holidays to take part in The Evangel Cathedral Christmas Celebration - a showcase of the best gospel singers in the nation - including none other than Tamela herself!
The concerts feature Tamela’s work as a gospel singer – but both she and David have worked together on projects for years. They say it’s great to work together because they understand each other without the need for explanation.
"It makes it a lot easier to have the support system right on hand, so if something is going kind of crazy , I can go, 'Hey, I need you to give me a pep talk,'" Tamela said turning to David.
"For me it would be weird if we weren’t working together," David added.
The Mann’s told us that some of their children are following in their footsteps. One of their daughters is a background singer with Tamela, another is in a production in New York, and several of their children also are involved in the family’s record company.

They've been married for 27 years -- and two years ago, they renewed their vows and finally had the wedding they had always wanted. But what's their secret?
The Manns say it's simple: They're in love!
"I'm not just in love, but I like him," Tamela said. "I like being with him."
"And I like her A LOT," her husband added.
Of course, they say, they have their arguments like any couple. But they get through it.
"There's an art to arguing," David told Holly Morris. "It's not to try to prove you're right. It's to get an understanding."
The Manns say they're working on a book, which they've wanted to write for a while, but haven't had a chance to tackle.
So after so many years together, how do they spice it up? WATCH THE VIDEO for their answer!
