TAILGATE CHILI RECIPE
5 LBS Ground Beef ( browned separately in skillet – drain all grease )
2 large yellow onions – diced
2 large green peppers – diced
6 fresh jalapenos – diced ( canned jalapenos also acceptable )
1 14oz can diced tomatoes
1 8 oz can tomato paste
1 12oz bottle ketchup
¼ cup of beef base
1 tbs cumin
2 tbs dark chili powder
¼ cup paprika
~ combine ALL ingredients into a stock pot and slowly simmer on low heat for 1 hour while stirring occasionally. A crock pot may also be used.
~ serve with shredded cheese, diced red onions and sour cream.
