WASHINGTON - Work smarter – not harder! That’s the focus of our first ‘Move It Monday’ segment with Crunch Fitness! FOX 5’s Erin Como was joined by trainers Leo Cort and Nicola Haire to work on a routine that combines both upper and lower body workouts.
To accomplish this version of the Reverse Lunge, start off in an upright position and take a controlled step back with one foot. From this, into a squat , then into a pushup. (WATCH THE VIDEO AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE TO SEE THE MOVE IN ACTION)
The goal is to stay moving and make your movements as fluid as possible so that you can complete the exercise several times in succession. “You’re going to do it back-to-back. That’s the whole point of this - to increase your endurance, to increase your strength, to increase your stamina, to increase your functionality all at the same time,” said Cort.
