WASHINGTON - Shawn Yancy is hosting a big charity event on Saturday December 10, 2016 and you’re invited!
Girls Night Out by Shawn Yancy is an extravaganza that raises money for local charities that benefit women and children in the D.C. region. Women from all sectors of society gather to shop, get pampered and celebrate life.
Over the years G.N.O., originally started in Shawn’s dining room, has collected and donated thousands of new and gently worn clothing for men, women and children. The event has also collected hundreds of toys for area kids for Christmas, and raised thousands of dollars for various local charities.
What started with a handful of girlfriends has evolved into 300 plus women and growing. It just goes to show you, sometimes all you need is your close girlfriends to bring a vision to life.
This year, the beneficiary is the Saint Ann Center for Children Youth and Families. The center focuses on taking care of youth, often unwed mothers, by giving them a place to live and providing them with life and job skills they need.
“We’re just doing our part to help,” said Yancy.
The ultimate girls’ night out party is also holding a fashion show. Who better to host the catwalk than lifestyle expert Paul Wharton and podcast host Sara Fraser—it’s going to be epic!
This year’s hosts include some of the FOX 5 family like Wisdom Martin, Allison Seymour, Tucker Barnes, Sue Palka, and Tony Perkins.
Tickets to the event are selling out fast! So be sure to group text all your close girlfriends and prepare yourselves for an evening filled with fun and laughter. Click here to get your tickets.
