WASHINGTON - She is not even 2 years old, but Elizabeth Newland of Maryland is already competing in a national beauty pageant!
Out of hundreds of girls, the 23-month-old was chosen as Baby Miss Maryland. And next month, she will travel to Texas to compete with children for the Baby Miss America national title. Elizabeth will be judged on natural beauty, personality and attire.
The girl’s mother, Keonita Jackson, says the competition is 100 percent natural, meaning no make-up, no hair pieces and no fake teeth.
Previous Baby Miss America winners have traveled around the world.
