NEW YORK - Harry Connick Jr. is a three time Grammy winner who has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. Starting today, he’ll enter the world of daytime.
His new show, 'Harry,' will be part talk, part musical variety and will air on FOX starting September 12.
Our own super-fan - FOX 5's Holly Morris - caught up with him for a preview of what we can expect!
"I wanted to do something that felt like a party. A show that you could turn on the TV - no matter what time of day it was on - and feel like you were kind of being whisked away. Kind of getting a break from the every day," he said.
He said his show will not follow the typical daytime structure and said it will change every day. For starters, musical performances by the man himself will be featured every day. Visits by his famous friends – like Sandra Bullock, Terrence Howard, Renee Zellweger, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, and John Stamos – will be unscripted.
Connick says two unique segments that will be featured regularly– 'Harry's Leading Ladies' and 'I Got This' - will spotlight real-life heroes.
"I'm a performer. I love playing in front of people and we have 200 people in the studio audience every day. That's my favorite part. My favorite part is coming out and entertaining them," he said.
You can watch 'Harry' beginning September 12 at 2 p.m. right here on FOX 5.
