200 jump into ice cold Potomac for New Year's Polar Bear Plunge

What better way to ring in the New Year than by jumping in the ice cold Potomac River!

About 200 participated in the Polar Bear Plunge Friday morning. Temperatures were in the 30s at the time of the jump.

FOX 5 assignment editor Brendan O'Connell took part in the event. He said that after the plunge was over a local church performed several baptisms in the river.
