WASHINGTON - Dr. Oz made a special house-call to FOX 5 Thursday while he was in town to address prescription opioid abuse. Oz, whose hit show deals with health and wellness, will lead the Coalition to Stop Opioid Abuse panel discussion at the Capitol Visitor Center.
The doctor also looked ahead to some stories he is working for his show - including a favorite food that we think is healthy but is actually laden with arsenic - rice.
Rice is a staple in many of our diets and can be found in everything from health bars, cereal, pasta and baby food. Dr. Oz shared tips on which type of rice is safe and how to safely prepare it.
He also shared great information regarding finding the cheapest prescription drugs - an issue impacting man seniors.
