FD: Woman crossed barrier, attacked by jaguar while taking a selfie at Wildlife World Zoo
LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. (FOX 10) - A valley woman faces non-life threatening injuries after getting attacked by a jaguar at Wildlife World Zoo in Litchfield Park.
Rural Metro officials confirmed a woman in her 30's was attempting to take a picture near a fence of the jaguar enclosure after crossing the barrier when the animal reached out and attacked her arm. The patient was then taken to the hospital and was treated for her injuries.

Jussie Smollett indicted on 16 felony counts stemming from reported attack in Chicago
A grand jury in Chicago indicted "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett on 16 felony counts related to making a false report that he was attacked by two men who shouted racial and homophobic slurs.
The Cook County grand jury indictment dated Thursday and made public on Friday gives details of the disorderly conduct charge against Smollett. It elaborates on the allegation that he falsely reported that he was attacked on Jan. 28 by two masked men who hurled racial and homophobic slurs at the black and openly gay actor, beat him, threw an unidentified liquid chemical on him and looped a rope tied like a noose around his neck.
The indictment - eight counts from what he told the officer who responded to the report of the attack and eight for what he later told a detective - comes a little more than two weeks after prosecutors announced one felony count of the same charge.Read the full article
Man who ran red light, hit and killed Arizona mom of two sentenced to 30 days in jail
CHANDLER, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- A red-light runner who killed a Chandler mother and injured her two young children received his sentence and it's a lot lighter than one might expect.
Pamela Hesselbacher and her children, ages 2 and 3, were in a crosswalk when they were hit by a pickup truck, driven by William Epperlein .
Epperlein had a suspended license, no insurance and has a history of driving under the influence. Due to loopholes in Arizona law and a plea deal, he was only charged with a misdemeanor and will serve 30 days in jail for the death he caused.Read the full article
