A Montgomery County family is uninjured after a tree came crashing down on their house early Monday morning.

Pete Piriniger, spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, says the incident happened on Larkmeade Lane in Potomac.

Piriniger says a tree from a neighboring yard fell into the home causing damage to the roof and second flood. Images taken at the scene show major damage to the bedroom where an 11-year-old child was sleeping.

Piriniger says two adults and two children have been displaced but luckily no injuries were reported.

The incident is still under investigation.
