Before joining FOX 5 in June 2014, I worked at FOX 11 in Los Angeles. While working in the second largest news market in the country, I covered major stories including the shooting that shut down LAX. I also provided around the clock coverage for several days from San Francisco, on the deadly crash of Asiana flight 214.
Prior to working in LA, I worked my way up in different news markets including Reno, Tucson, Fresno and The Emerald City-- Seattle, which is where my husband and I got engaged, before we ever planned on living there!
I was born in Mexico, speak fluent Spanish and have worked as a reporter for Azteca America and Telemundo. I spent a year and a half working for Telemundo in Tucson, near the Arizona-Mexico border and focused on covering drug and human trafficking issues that plague border communities, as well as the violence created by drug cartels.
When I'm not working multiple news stories and news tips, I'm eating, shopping or binge watching TV show episodes! I consider myself a foodie and love trying new restaurants and types of food, so if you have a recommendation send it my way!
I also love traveling to exotic places, on our honeymoon my husband and I went to several cities in China and Thailand. My favorite city was Hong Kong!
I'm happily married and have dog, three cats (don't judge) and a very supportive family and group of friends in So Cal!
