After being born in southern California and raised in the state of Washington, my "nomadic" lifestyle continued as I moved to Searcy, Arkansas to study broadcast journalism at Harding University. After graduation, it was off to a new state I knew nothing about: South Dakota.
In my two years in South Dakota, I worked as a morning show reporter, fill-in anchor, as well as a fill-in producer. The joke in the newsroom always was, you name it, and I did it.
I took a leap of faith after two years in South Dakota, packed up a U-Haul and headed east. I knew it was time to push myself and move to a new location. So I set my eyes on D.C. and never looked back.
Soon after my move I was fortunate enough to land a job with FOX 5. Now I get to continue doing everything I have always loved about this industry. The news business is always changing, and no two days are ever the same. It's that fact that makes me excited to start each new day and makes me even more excited for what the future holds.
The past few years have shown me that hard work pays off and that I am truly blessed with my amazing family, friends and co-workers from all over the world.
The hope for this news junkie is to be able to continue doing what I love: telling your stories and meeting new people.
Thank you for welcoming me into your homes and the region as a whole. I am excited to explore more and learn about even more history than I already have. I look forward to many years to come!
